Jack Crawford sings traditional songs unaccompanied in the old-fashioned style, and in recent years, he’s become prominent as a highly respected performer with a big, dark brown and musical voice and great way of telling a story.

David Campbell bears one of traditional music’s great names – but he carries it so lightly that you’d hardly know.
In fact, he’s the grandson of two Aberdonian singers Dave & Betty Campbell who for decades were well known around the Midlands folk scene. In fact, Betty passed away just a few weeks ago on the 6th January.

Andy Turner will sing and play at the Frittenden
Andy Turner sings, plays anglo-concertina and one-row melodeon. He was born and bred at Ashford, and first became involved in the folk scene in Kent.
In the 1980s, he danced with Oyster Morris, was an occasional member of the Oyster Band, played in a duo with Chris Wood [...]

Good news – we’re planning another small folk festival at Frittenden again this coming year, to be held on the 4th April 2009. This time, we’ve decided to focus on performers from the folk revival in the South-East of England
